Back in My Day

I am thankful for old people. A lot of people may find old people to be useless, but not me. What would we do without people to remind us of how good we have it? Who would remember that in the old days kids had to walk to school uphill both ways in the snow? How would we know what a telegraph was, or a record player, or that you had to wind up cars(That is if you owned a car, because most people still had to use horses)? What would ever happen to terms like "the bees knees", "for Pete's sake", "cattywampus", "icebox", "pulling a boner", "microwave oven" and "What in the Sam Hill is going on here"? Life would not be nearly as humorous without old people trying to use the internets to check their electronic mail, or wondering what in tarnation a Wii is. Try and imagine a world without old people attempting to use a remote control or setting up their voice mail message(Not nearly as funny. Is it?). And, think of the people who make traffic signs for minimum speeds. They would all be unemployed. What about the hard candy industry? Without old people that would go in the tank as well. So, I am thankful for old people.

How do you find stuff like this on You Tube? This reminded me a little of the SNL skits where Will Ferrell and Ana Gasteyer sang together. My favorite was Hey Ya!
