Bodie's Improving

Bodie has improved since yesterday. The doctors didn't think that the tube in his chest was reaching the hole in the lung as well as they would have liked, so they removed that tube and inserted a new tube in a different position. They took xrays before and after the procedure and his lungs reacted well to the change. His breathing has improved. In fact, they took the CPAP(a.k.a. "The snorkel") off of him and replaced it with a Vapotherm (which looks like the tubes the old folks use with their portable oxygen tanks). He seemed a lot more comfortable breathing with that and was doing more breathing on his own. He looked healthier today. I asked the doctors if there were any issues with any other organs or areas of his body and they said no. The only problem he is having is with his lungs. He was sleeping soundly at 9:30 p.m. today.
