Extremely Long Weekend/Post

This weekend is going to be legend ..........................................(wait for it) ....................ary! I know that everyone already has California's Free Fishing Day marked on their calendars, so we will get to that later on in the post. The main event for this weekend features the Jedidiah Kelley Family(featured below, with some stylish T-shirt designs and Cyndi's cousin on a trip to Magic Mountain).

This Saturday they will be getting all spiffied up (similar to the picture above) and getting together at the church located at 522 W Francis Street in Ontario, California. Click on the map below for directions.

Everyone is invited to come and join them. You might be asking yourself, "What for?" First, at 3 o'clock Jed will be receiving the Melchizedek Priesthood!

Afterward (around 4 o'clock) Jed will be baptizing and confirming Bryan!

Mr. Mustachio would like to offer his personal congratulations to Bryan for making this big decision. It wasn't very long ago that we knew him as "Bry7". He has been growing up quickly. In fact, Mr. Mustachio is so proud of this weekend, that he actually plans on suiting up for the special occasion. (Mr. Mustachio also really enjoys referencing himself in the third person.) I believe that after the baptismal service we are getting together for some munchings and crunchings. We hope to see a lot of people there. Speaking of which:

As an added bonus for the weekend, The Kyle Kelley Family will be joining in the festivities. It will be a great opportunity for the cousins to get together and have some fun!
The Brothers Kelley will also be reunited.
And we will have a chance to take an updated family picture. I'm pretty stoked about this, because we don't have one that features Bodie yet. It looks like we are almost to the point of needing a wide angled lens to fit everybody in, especially with all the flubber The Brothers Kelley have been packing on in recent years.

As previously mentioned, Saturday is also Free Fishing Day. Below is a picture from a previous fishing outing with Jed's family. Usually the Department of Fish and Game designates 2 days each year when you can fish without paying for a license. Other regulations still apply, but they also stock (put fish in) a lot of places for those days and have various programs throughout the state to promote fishing.
Here's a Cloverfieldish video from that trip:

Ever since I have been the Young Men's President in our ward, I have tried to take the young men out on Free Fishing Days. I do it for multiple reasons, but the main one is because we don't have to pay the cost of fishing licenses for them on that day. I also like to give them the opportunity to go fishing, which they might not have otherwise. I believe that this Saturday will mark our 4th trip on a Free Fishing Day.
On Friday night there is a volleyball activity at the church and from there they will head over to my place to "sleep" for a couple of hours. I put sleep in quotes, because there always seems to be some sort of competition amongst the young men to see who can stay up the whole night. At 4 a.m. on Saturday, I will start kicking the young men and at 4:15 we will be heading off to Silverwood Lake. The picture above shows our last trip to Silverwood Lake. It was pouring rain that day and the fishing wasn't that good, but they enjoyed themselves and are determined to do better this time. The forecast says that it won't be raining, so I think they will be having a good time. Including me, I believe there will be 13 of us making the trip. Our lines should hit the water just after 6 a.m. We are only going to fish for about 6 hours, due to other events occurring on Saturday (i.e. a spaghetti dinner for the young women), but I think that will be a sufficient amount of time to have a positive fishing experience. If you haven't gone fishing for a while, Saturday is a perfect opportunity. I will give a fishing report in a future post.
Here is a picture from a previous successful trip.
This guy hopes to catch another fish that is half his size!

I look forward to an eventful and enjoyable weekend.
Catch ya later!

Mr. Mustachio

Just thought I would end this post with a picture of Knick.

I was glad to see Knick didn't get left out of that post. I love this post by the way. Please tell everyone hello. The weekend is almost over. Congrats to Jed and Bryan and family. I hope everyone had fun and that you caught a lot of fish! Can't wait to see pictures of the weekend.
